Our Services

Nips & Sips - A Prenatal BF Class

Nips & Sips is not your average breastfeeding prenatal class. Come enjoy mocktails, charcuterie, and learn how to have a successful breastfeeding journey. Not only will you learn, but you will connect with other woman in the same season of life. This is more than a class, it is a community, a village.

Lactation/Feeding Consultations

As an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) based in Grande Prairie, I offer in-home and virtual support for breastfeeding, flange fitting, bottle feeding, and pumping. When timing allows, I also offer early postpartum support at the hospital as a private provider — bringing expert care to you when you need it most. Let me help you navigate lactation challenges with compassionate, evidence-based guidance in the comfort of your own space.

In-Home Postpartum Care

Postpartum recovery is a time of healing, but it doesn’t have to be overwhelming. As a Nurse and Registered Lactation Consultant, I provide in-home postpartum support tailored to your needs. My services include breastfeeding help, baby care, meal prep, and supporting you—so you can focus on bonding with your baby.

ABOUT THE FOUNDER

Hi, I'm Nicole

Owner of The Village

When I became a mother in 2020, I thought I was ready. I was a maternity nurse — how hard could it be? But nothing prepared me for the exhaustion, the feeding challenges, or the emotional weight of it all. My son had colic, breastfeeding felt overwhelming, and I felt like I was failing at something I deeply desired — breastfeeding.

That experience changed everything.
It showed me firsthand how isolating postpartum can be — even for someone in the field. And it lit a fire in me to create The Village: a space where mothers feel seen, supported, and empowered.

Today, as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and nurse, I bring not only clinical knowledge but lived experience to my care. My goal is simple: to walk with you through the early days of motherhood with compassion, clarity, and community. You don’t have to do this alone — and with The Village, you won’t.
